What is an MRA?

Mutual Recognition Agreement is an agreement that gives the right to gain membership and practice public accounting between the two accounting institutes.
If you are a member in good standing with any of the following international accounting bodies, then you can be a CPA Canada as per the MRA terms and conditions:
Ordre des Experts-Comptables de France (Quebec only)
The conditions for eligibility include being a Canadian Citizen or legally permitted to work or study in Canada.
CPA Alberta has an MRA with:
Nederland Instituut van Register Accountants
American Institute Certified Public Accountants (limited states)
